With the lighter evenings and warmer weather on its way it is a great time to be more active and try something new. Active Rother has details of walking and cycling events over the summer which are a great incentive to get outside.

Rother has numerous places you can visit from villages, towns, forests, parks, the coast and countryside as well a historical sites and nature reserves, all great for walking or cycling.

If the social side is just as much of a pull then check out the Health Walks in the area, including new ones from Bexhill Leisure Centre & Pool or Rother Ramblers, and cycling groups such as the Bexhill or Rye Wheelers, 1066 Cycle Club

2018 will also see the development of the National Coastal Path from Eastbourne to Camber to link to existing walks and cycle routes such as the 1066 Walks and Coastal Cultural Trail.

Be Active (9 June 2018) (information will be added to website when available) – Information on being Active & healthy including cycling & walking

Beat the Street  (6 June 2018 to 25 July 2018) – A game using “beat boxes” to encourage people to walk & cycle.
