Join our mailing list and we'll keep you up-to-date.

Bexhill and Rye leisure centres closed back in March as the country went into lockdown, but the great news is they now have finally been able to reopen. Over the last few weeks the centres have been working hard to ensure they are as safe and enjoyable as ever. Here’s everything you need to know.

In order to make it as safe as possible for customers to return, they have rearranged gym equipment and are reducing the number of people attending classes to enable social distancing. A booking system is in place for all activities and visits will be time-limited. There will be increased cleaning at the centres and a number of hand sanitisers stations will be installed. Only cashless payment will be accepted and contact details will be taken to support the Government’s track and trace system.

Details of each centre can be found below.

    Bexhill Leisure Centre

    Booking to use the facility

To help maintain social distancing in the centre we ask our customers to book if they wish to attend a gym session or class. Members may book up to 5 days in advance and non-members will be able to request a casual membership number from reception that allows them to book 1 day in advance (payment for session will need to be taken on the day).

Gym slots will be for a duration of 45 minutes bookable on the hour to allow time for our team to clean our facilities and equipment after each session.

Our current studio timetable can be found here. Bookings can be made online, by telephone or at reception.

    One-way system

We have introduced a one-way system around our centre to help us maintain social distancing. We ask our customers to arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to your booked slot.

Customers will queue outside the centre prior to their booking slot or class; they will be able to follow our one-way system to the area of the centre they are booked in to use.

Please maintain social distancing when walking around the gym. We ask that you do not loiter in the centre before or after your sessions.

Other things you need to know

    • Changing rooms will remain closed until further notice so please arrive dressed ready to work out.
    • Water fountains will be out of order. Please ensure you bring your own drink to keep hydrated.
    • If possible please bring a workout towel with you.
    • Our gym equipment will be spaced out in line with government guidelines to provide customers with more space.

    • We have cleaning stations around the gym for you to wipe down equipment after use, we will also be doing this between sessions.
