Unsure whether BMX or skateboarding is for you? We’ve summed up some of the top benefits of both sports below, just to convince you how great they are!
BMX benefits
- Boosts weight loss – cycling can burn between 250 and 450 calories per 30 minutes
- Low impact cardio
- Builds muscles – cycling offers a full body workout! Your lower body (glutes, calves, and quads) will be doing a lot of the work, but your abs, back muscles, and arms will also be getting a good workout from manoeuvring your bike.
- Improves balance, posture, and coordination
Skateboarding benefits
- Improves your reflexes and precision skills
- Balance will improve, as will your patience!
- Increases metabolism
Plus, whether you pick BMXing or skateboarding (or both), you’ll be reducing your own carbon footprint and helping do your bit for the planet!
