We have recently completed awards for a further Active Rother small grants to local sport and physical activity providers. These latest grants combine awards to support workforce development training and funding to support the delivery of new sessions, which are aimed at encouraging local residents to get more active.
New grants to support workforce development and session capacity will support the development of:
- Table Tennis provision
- Girls cricket provision
- Access to disability swimming
- Addressing social isolation and mental health through physical activity
- Enabling mothers with infants to join Walk To Run session by using buggies
We will keep the news section of the website updated with progress on these awards.
Some new sessions have already started funded via these awards including:
- Exercise To Music
- Pilates and Lattes
- Active Friends

For workforce development grants, once providers have completed their training, we will work with them to set up targeted sessions for local residents. These sessions will be made available online and/or in community venues and promoted via the Active Rother website and our social media. So please keep checking in with us.
