Walk before you run – literally Due to pressures we face, it can be a very daunting thing, committing to exercise if you don’t know where to start or if you don’t see yourself as a gym person. Which is why walking is the perfect place to start. Commit to 10 minutes per day right after dinner and you’ll have created a brand new healthy habit that takes minimal effort. As you build confidence, you can start to increase your duration, run instead of walk, or you may even decide to give the gym a go!
Find an accountability partner Tell someone that you would like to commit to exercise, and send them regular updates on your progress. You could even give them £1.00 every time you fail to give an update or miss an exercise session as added incentive. Better yet, have them join in with your exercise. You’ll certainly have more fun when there are two of you!
Set a realistic goal Sometimes, setting an achievable goal is the best strategy. A new personal best, a lowered waist circumference measurement or a distance to aim for will keep you motivated to exercise, because you have something that you want to achieve!
Here’s what I can do for you! These are only a few tips that will get you started and in the right direction. However if you feel confused, scared or demotivated, I’ll offer a free exercise session to help educate and motivate you! I’m located at Battle Sports Centre, right next to Claverham School.
Simply get in touch by emailing me at [email protected] or give us a call on 01424 774772 and we’ll start you on your journey today!
