Hollie Farley, East Sussex County Council
23 August 2017
It’s the 10th anniversary of Older People’s Day and the programme is packed full of events!
There is so much to choose from and lots of the events are free (or at least offer free tea and cake). You can go to events across the county but here are the sporting Older People’s Day activities happening in Rother.
Freedom Leisure have a whole programme of activities at Bexhill Leisure Centre and Rye Sports Centre including Active+ Short tennis, Water Therapy, Tai Chi, Badminton and lots of walking sports! Activities cost no more than £1 on the presentation of an Older People’s Day booklet! For full details see the Older People’s Day events programme or contact one of the centres.
Not your cup of tea? Perhaps you’d prefer to join the Rye Healthy Living Club on Wednesday 4th October at the Rye 1st Scouts Centre for physical activities, games and free light refreshments. Everyone is welcome and entry is £1.
You can view all the activities on offer across East Sussex by viewing the Older People’s Day Full of live events programme or picking up a copy from Bexhill Town Hall or one of the Rother District Council Community Help Points.
