Nominees must be a resident or actively involved in sports/physical activity development within the boundaries of East or West Sussex County Councils or Brighton & Hove City Council. The exception is the Sports Personality of the Year award.

You can read the criteria for each category and nominate your choice for the awards on the Active Sussex website.

Celebrating activity brilliance

Active Sussex Regional Project & Events Officer Ed Bartram said: “Whether on the podium in Paris, or delivering life-changing interventions more locally, there’s so much to be proud of as a county, and we can’t wait to shout about it!”

Last year, winners included the now Olympian medallist Amber Anning, a unique cancer support charity, and a team working with one of the most deprived areas nationally.

The awards ceremony will take place at Sussex Cricket Ground in Hove on Thursday, November 28.
