Summer Basketball league at Battle Area Sports Centre

Hollie Farley, East Sussex County Council

22 August 2017

This summer has seen some exciting basketball action with teams competing on Wednesday evenings in a new Summer Basketball league.

Throughout August teams have met in the main hall at the Battle Area Sports Centre to shoot some hoops. The sessions have been aimed at encouraging adults with some basketball knowledge and who used to play to get back into the sport.

Teams consist of local basketball enthusiasts of varying ages and with different levels of experience. Reaching the last four were the Pink Panthers, Orange Crush, the Golden Eagles and the Blue Devils. The final is on 23rd August and spectators are welcome!

Regular basketball sessions happen at Battle Area Sports Centre throughout the year mainly on a Sunday. The Centre also offers other sports and fitness activities as well as having a small gym. For me details contact the centre on 01424 774772 or visit the Battle Sports Centre website.
