Welcome to the new Active Rother website. This website provides lots of information about opportunities to be active across the Rother area. The site provides information in two key areas:

Being active doesn't have to be about pumping iron or running miles - there are lots of ways to be active which can be part of the things you do every day. If you want to make the most out of life then be active and feel the benefits - there are plenty of them.

The minimum guidelines for physical activity to improve health are:

  • Adults should aim to achieve at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity at least 5 days a week
  • Children & Young People should aim to achieve at least 60 minutes of moderate intensity 7 days a week.

The good news is these don’t all have to be done in one go, as the activity can be accumulated throughout the day in 10 -15 minute bouts.

WE NEED YOU - Every effort has been made to source information about sport and physical activities across the Rother area. If your club or activity is not advertised on here, then please send us the information, so we can add it to this website. Simply add or amend an activity.
